Transport infrastructure in Pomerania
The largest container terminal on the Baltic Sea – Baltic Hub in Gdańsk – and the largest grain port in Gdynia are the Tricity's key strengths. In 2025, construction of the T3 terminal at Baltic Hub was completed. This boosted Baltic Hub's handling capacity by 1.5 million TEU annually, reaching 4.5 million TEU. Meanwhile, the Gdańsk Agro Terminal, a modern grain terminal project under development from 2025-2029 in Gdańsk, will enable handling up to 3 million tons per year. Additionally, the expansion of the region’s road infrastructure, including the A1 motorway and S6 and S7 expressways, and the extension of the S6 to Szczecin and Berlin, will significantly enhance Pomerania’s attractiveness.
Regional advantages
Thanks to its strategic geographical position and modern road, rail, port, and air infrastructure, Pomerania offers enormous investment potential. The region also attracts highly skilled workers, while the growing offshore sector further enhances its appeal.
