7R to build in Pomerania

7R is one of the first warehouse developers to have invested in the Pomerania region. In addition to its flagship project 7R Park Gdansk, completed in recent years, 7R also delivered 7R City Flex Gdansk Airport earlier this year. The developer is now planning to break ground on another project.

7R Park Gdansk II will consist of three modern buildings with a combined area of approximately 61,000 sqm including office, welfare, warehouse and light-manufacturing space. The industrial project will be developed in Kowale near Gdansk, situated off Tricity’s ring-road, which provides easy access to the A1 motorway and the southern S7 ring-road, as well as to the centre of Gdansk and Gdynia. It is located 13 km from Gdansk International Airport and 21 km from DCT Gdansk, the largest deepwater container terminal in the Baltic Sea - it has two wharfs and is to be extended further.

Although construction work has yet to begin, the first lease agreements have already been signed. A BTS (build-to-suit) warehouse sized 12,500 sqm that will be occupied by Rohlig SUUS Logistics is scheduled to be completed in August 2020. It will be another property developed for the company by 7R. In November 2018, RSL launched operations in 7R Park Krakow, the first facility in the Lesser Poland region to combine logistics space with a modern transhipment terminal.

As with 7R’s other developments, 7R Park Gdansk II has been designed to fulfil the requirements of BREEAM certification. The complex will be fitted with LED lighting, air destratifiers and a high-standard fire protection system.
