Construction of a logistics centre Hillwood Lodz has kicked off along Gorna Route in Lodz. Once fully built out, the park will provide nearly 170,000 sqm of warehouse and office space in two buildings. The first building sized approximately 75,000 sqm is scheduled for completion in November 2019. It is Hillwood’s first project in Lodz.
The project was prepared by Hillwood in collaboration with Lodz-based Varitex, whose specialists were responsible, among other things, for securing lands, utilities and changing land use, and all administrative decisions, including a building permit. Bremer, which has a strong track record in warehouse development across Poland, is the general contractor on the project.
Hillwood Lodz will feature a standard 12x24m column grid, storage space of up to 10 metres in height, and a floor load-bearing capacity of 6 tonnes per sqm. The park is located in Lodz, Gorna District, approximately 10 km from the A1 motorway, approximately 11 km from Lodz Airport and 9 km from the city centre.
