Panattoni Europe has broken ground on its Panattoni Park Czestochowa project, its first in the north of the Silesian voivodeship. A total of 30,400 sqm of Class A space will be delivered in two modern buildings. Construction is set to begin this October and the first units are expected to be handed over to tenants in February 2020.
Panattoni Park Czestochowa, a modern Class A distribution centre with a total area of 30,400 sqm, will be located within the city’s limits, near the Czestochowa Industrial and Technological Park. The choice of this location was not random – Panattoni consistently develops its network of warehouse and production facilities outside of large metropolitan areas, supporting business growth in smaller cities such as Czestochowa. The city has become an economic hub in northern Silesia and boasts an attractive location by the country’s pivotal north-south route - the A1 motorway.
The city has a population of 222,000 and six universities with over 15,000 students. The region’s leading industries include automotive, energy, metallurgy, retail and manufacturing. The economic potential of Czestochowa is corroborated by statistics. This year, it came fourth in a tie with Bielsko-Biala in the ranking of Best Places for Business, put together by “Forbes” monthly. It also claimed a high, seventh place among the most innovative cities in Poland (one year earlier it was named the most innovative Polish city). Czestochowa also found itself listed among fDi’s Polish Cities of the Future 2019/20, according to the prestigious UK daily “Financial Times”.
The new project will comprise two buildings with 23,100 sqm and 7,300 sqm, respectively. The facilities designed for warehousing and light manufacturing can be flexibly tailored to the needs of a single company or several tenants. Units start from 3,800 sqm. The park will feature large truck courts, spacious parking facilities and modern office units. It will also meet the requirements for BREEAM GOOD certification.
The park is located in the eastern part of the city, near Legionow Street, where many local companies have their offices.
