Erum Group enters Poland and opens a logistics centre

The Spanish company Erum Group is expanding its presence in Europe and has just opened a logistics centre of nearly 5,000 sqm in Gdańsk, Poland. The tenant was represented in the negotiations by real estate advisory firm Cresa.

Erum Group is a multinational group of companies with Spanish shareholding dedicated to the manufacture of hangers and other plastic products, plastic recycling, waste management. The company manufactures exclusively in its own factories. It has a logistics network that will soon span over 69 countries worldwide. Erum Group intends to cut down on the use of plastic and raw materials to reorient towards closed-loop production which allows for reuse and recycling. The PlasticLoop system, developed by Erum Group, extends the life of plastic while maintaining its attributes. The company runs a pioneering "Return to the source" project (RTS) on plastic recycling that involves sustainable planning of design, production and logistics. Each process aims to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions.

The Erum Group logistics centre was opened in a warehouse park at 18 Bysewska Street in Gdańsk in February. Its Polish facility provides direct or indirect employment for 400 people. It ensures optimal logistics routes and delivery times of goods to customers. The logistics centre in Poland will be used for goods distribution to Central & Eastern Europe and Asia.

“We are glad that Erum Group entrusted us with the task of introducing the company to the Polish market. The process was preceded by a thorough analysis of their needs, including logistics and HR issues. Therefore, we were able to act efficiently and find a suitable location to support the Group’s business goals,” says Michał Rafałowicz, Head for the Pomeranian Region, Cresa Poland.
