InPost expands business relationship with MLP

InPost, Poland’s largest independent logistics operator, is set to move into more MLP Group industrial parks in 2020, with more than 26,000 sqm of modern warehouse space to be handed over to the company in three core locations: in Poznan, Gliwice and Wroclaw. All the facilities will be built to suit and feature cross-dock areas. Real estate advisory firm Cresa brokered the transaction.

InPost is rapidly expanding its business relationship with MLP Group. The company provides modern services to both retail and institutional clients, including integrated support for e-commerce operators. Its own technology and logistics resources enable InPost to operate countrywide.

“To accommodate the rapid growth of our Paczkomaty® network, which consists of 5,000 parcel lockers across Poland, and courier services, we decided to expand our business relationship with MLP Group and lease more facilities to expedite the distribution of our growing parcel volumes. The newly leased space at MLP Wroclaw West and MLP Gliwice will increase the capacities of our existing locations in Lower Silesia and Upper Silesia. MLP Group perfectly understands our needs, as demonstrated by the delivery of our sorting facility at MLP Poznan West in September,” says Rafal Brzoska, President of InPost.

All the facilities will be located in Poland’s key warehouse hubs, near large metropolitan areas. The first facility, with an area of 8,800 sqm, was delivered for occupancy at MLP Poznan West in September. In 2020, MLP Group will construct another two buildings for InPost at MLP Gliwice and MLP Wroclaw West, with an area of approximately 17,400 sqm. InPost will be the first tenant at MLP Wroclaw West. Each facility will comprise approximately 7,700 sqm of warehouse space and approximately 1,000 sqm of modern office space. All the three projects are being developed on a build-to-suit basis and will feature cross-dock areas for efficient loading/unloading, picking and handling of courier shipments.

“We are delighted to see our business relationship expand rapidly. We deploy cutting-edge technologies to provide our clients with top quality services and tailor our facilities to specific occupier requirements,” says Agnieszka Gozdz, Head of the Sales Department for Poland and Romania, MLP Group.

The tenant was represented in the transaction by real estate advisory firm Cresa.

“The previous positive experience with MLP Group and the project locations were key factors for our client in making the decision. We are pleased that InPost’s requirements regarding delivery timing and technical specifications were met by the developer,” says Katarzyna Bojanowicz, Business Development Director, Industrial and Warehouse Department, Cresa Poland.

The logistics parks of MLP Group are located conveniently throughout Poland. MLP Wroclaw West is sited in Katy Wroclawskie, approximately 9 km from Wroclaw. MLP Poznan West is situated in west Poznan, by the S11 expressway, and MLP Gliwice is approximately 6 km from the centre of Gliwice.
