Under the new lease, keeeper, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of plastic household products, will move into the property in mid-2020. It agreed to take the entire 17,800 sqm building D, which is currently under construction.

keeeper agreed to take the entire 17,800 sqm building D, which is currently under construction. Bydgoszcz is considered to be one of the best prospective warehouse markets and very competitive due to the high supply of modern industrial space.

In addition to class A warehouse space, building D of Logistic Park Bydgoszcz will also provide approximately 500 sqm of office space and an order picking zone. The building was also specially redesigned to meet the tenant’s requirements, which is not very common on the Polish warehouse market and evidence of Waimea Holding’s bespoke approach to clients’ needs.

Waimea Logistic Park Bydgoszcz is being built on a 19-hectare plot. Two of the six planned buildings have already been completed and leased. The first phase of the project saw the completion of Small Business Units measuring a total of 9,226 sqm of warehouse and office space for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises or start-ups needing smaller warehouse spaces. The commercialisation process of this phase was completed with lightning speed and the SBU concept proved a huge success. The next phase included the construction of building F (nearly 5,000 sqm), anchored by logistics operator PEKAES, and DTS Transport, a TFL company providing transport and installation/assembly services.

Thanks to completed urban projects such as the redevelopment of Nowotorunska Street and the construction of Dachtery, Bydgoskich Przemysłowcow and Petersona streets, Waimea Logistic Park Bydgoszcz is well-connected to the planned S10 expressway and the S5 expressway (under construction), bypassing residential estates. The park also enjoys easy access to national roads S25 (Bydgoszcz-Konin-Kalisz) and S80 (Bydgoszcz-Lubicz), and Bydgoszcz-Szwederowo Airport, which is 7 km away.

In this year’s ranking of business-friendly cities in Central and Eastern Europe, prepared by Emerging Europe, Bydgoszcz is among leading performers in such categories as business climate (2nd place), economic potential (7th spot) and support of local authorities (7th). Bydgoszcz also came out as a leading city of the fDi Polish Cities of the Future 2019/20 ranking as the analytical team of the fDi Intelligence division of the Financial Times looked more closely at attractiveness of Polish cities for foreign direct investments and included Bydgoszcz in the Top 10 Overall – Best for Human Capital and Lifestyle.

Waimea Holding is a Polish developer successfully delivering logistics parks and cargo terminals across Poland for nearly a decade. The company also has expertise in property management of such facilities. This year, it came up with the revolutionary concept of Warehouse and Industrial Modules (WIM) to create opportunities not only for smaller enterprises, but also for individual commercial real estate investors. A WIM park is being developed in the immediate neighbourhood of Waimea Logistic Park Bydgoszcz.
