Langowski Logistics opens its second warehouse in Gdansk

Langowski Logistics, a company with more than 16 years of experience in delivering transport, forwarding and logistics solutions, has opened its second warehouse in Gdansk at the Pomeranian Logistics Centre, close to Deepwater Container Terminal Gdansk. It was represented during lease negotiations by Cresa Poland.

The newly-opened 3,500 sqm of space will be used for storing goods off racks due to their weight or size. The new warehouse also meets the expectations of e-commerce clients and is complementary to the high-bay storage warehouse opened by the firm in the same complex in 2017.

The newly-opened warehouse in Gdansk is located close to Deepwater Container Terminal Gdansk, the A1 motorway and the S7 expressway. It is the second warehouse facility of Langowski Logistics at the Pomeranian Logistics Centre. With the opening of its second warehouse in Gdansk, the company increased its service capacity of its first facility, which has been in use there since 2017. Both warehouses with a total area of 7,000 sqm form a cross-docking hub for the cross-border flow of goods.

The new warehouse offers services tailored to the needs of both producers, importers/exporters and e-retailers. Its convenient location enables quick and seamless distribution of goods. In addition, work is underway to implement a WMS (Warehouse Management System) in the Gdansk warehouse. This system is used to manage the flow of goods within a warehouse, optimize warehouse operations and accelerate the delivery of warehousing services. Its implementation will enable services for the e-commerce industry.

The second warehouse in Gdansk has modern material handling equipment including forklifts with lifting capacities of up to 3 and 3.5 tonnes. It is used as a temporary storage warehouse and a bonded warehouse. It is intended for storing goods with non-standard dimensions that cannot be placed on racks due to their weight or size. The company’s first warehouse in the same complex is used for storing goods on racks. The new warehouse is complementary to it. In addition, the new warehouse facility has received a permit from the Polish sanitary authority Sanepid for storing groceries, and its HACCP system guarantees food safety.

Warehouse logistics provided by Langowski Logistics includes storage of goods, palletisation, co-packing and picking. The company also offers services of its own Customs Agency, bonded warehouse and temporary storage warehouse. It also delivers import cargo handling services, or container stripping, and last mile freight transport. For export, it provides cargo consolidation and a door-to-door service.

The new facility in Gdansk is the fifth warehouse of Langowski Logistics. The total area of all of its warehouses is 24,000 sqm. The company has recently opened a new warehouse location in Panattoni Central European Logistics Hub in Łódź. The warehouse in Łódź is used mainly for handling cargo imported and exported by rail to and from Europe and China via the New Silk Road.

“The expansion of the Tricity location is a strategic decision that will enable the company to gain new clients looking in particular for sea freight and temporary storage of goods by the sea. This service is in strong demand during the COVID-19 epidemic,” says Jakub Dudkiewicz, Advisor, Industrial and Warehouse Department, Cresa Poland. “Thanks to our regular cooperation with Langowski Logistics, we are able to accurately address the client’s needs and efficiently negotiate lease agreements on behalf of the client. With the rapid growth of the logistics sector and Langowski’s innovative approach to business, we look forward to further joint projects,” adds Jakub Dudkiewicz.
