Lidl has 11 logistics centres

Lidl has built two warehouses in the past year and is finishing construction works on its third project in Stargard, which will serve 47 stores.

Lidl Polska has published its first sustainability report on its operations during two financial years from 1 March 2017 to 28 February 2019.

During that time, Lild opened a new warehouse in Grodkow (Psary municipality) and another warehouse in Kaluszyn near Minsk Mazowiecki on 1 March 2019. 2019 will also see completion of a facility in Stargard, the firm’s eleventh logistics centre. The Stargard facility will serve 47 stores, the warehouse in Pruszcz Gdanski - 72 stores, the warehouse in Bydgoszcz - 54, the warehouse in Wyszkow - 58, the warehouse in Minsk - 49, the warehouse in Strykow - 61, the warehouse in Jankowice - 54, the facility in Legnica - 83, the warehouse in Gliwice - 66, the warehouse in Bedzin – 63, and the facility in Tarnow - 66.

Lidl’s new distribution facilities feature cooling systems with natural cooling agents only, heat recovery cooling systems, LED lighting, glazing to increase daylight, heat recovery with CO2-based demand controlled ventilation, BMS – a smart building management system, surface heating systems that recycle waste heat from cooling, low-emission condensing boilers and photovoltaic systems.
