Lindt&Sprungli extends its lease with ID Logistics

The 7,000 sqm distribution facility of Lindt&Sprungli in Grodzisk Mazowiecki is under the wings of ID Logistics.

ID Logistics has worked with  Lindt&Sprungli (Poland) since 2010. The operator is the property manager for the chocolatier’s distribution centre in Blonie near Warsaw, which delivers products to retail stores, shopping centres and wholesale outlets across Poland. The ID Logistics team is responsible for warehousing (storage, inventory management, order picking and co-packing) and distribution of chocolate products to delivery points (dedicated TFL transport).

The new distribution facility of Lindt&Sprungli (Poland) in Grodzisk Mazowiecki was opened to accommodate the company’s rapid expansion in Poland and to drive its business growth on the Polish market. It will have an area of approximately 7,600 sqm, including 7,000 sqm of warehouse space, marking a twofold increase in the company’s footprint. The number of pallet spaces in the storage area will also double from around 6,500 to 13,000. The co-packing zone used to prepare promotional sets and chocolate advertising stands for stores and other retail outlets will increase from 400 to 600 sqm. There are also plans to strengthen the team responsible for warehouse maintenance and to recruit more staff. Chocolate products will be stored both in the existing distribution centre of Lindt&Sprungli in Blonie and in the new facility at a controlled temperature of 12°-16°C, with a constant air humidity level. In addition, cutting-edge and sustainable warehousing solutions will also be deployed to increase efficiency.
