The Polish branch of Dutch-based Mandersloot, a provider of logistics services in the Benelux and Central European countries, has expanded its warehouse capacity in a distribution complex in Poznań which is property-managed by Savills Investment Management. Following its expansion, the company will have over 7,600 sqm of modern warehouse and office space in the facility. The tenant was represented during the negotiation process by real estate advisory firm Newmark Polska.
The history of Mandersloot began in the Netherlands in 1964 with the establishment of a family-run transport business that grew internationally over the years. Today it has 400 employees and a fleet of 340 trucks and 310 reefer trailers. Mandersloot provides temperature-controlled transport of packaged vegetables, fruits, meat, other foods, flowers and plants in Benelux and Central Europe.
“Our client was happy in its current location but needed more warehouse and office space to accommodate its growth. Thanks to the landlord’s flexibility there was no need for a time-consuming and costly relocation. We are pleased to have negotiated lease conditions that were acceptable to both parties to the transaction,” says Natalia Mika, Advisor, Industrial and Warehouse Department, Newmark Polska.
“The decision to stay on was influenced by the location, which is close to our client’s headquarters. Another factor was the good cooperation with the landlord who found a solution and enabled expansion in the existing park. The larger space will provide optimal conditions for the tenant’s further growth. We are delighted that Mandersloot relied on our support during its lease renegotiation,” adds Jakub Dudkiewicz, Associate, Industrial and Warehouse Department, Newmark Polska.
The distribution centre, property-managed by Savills Investment Management since January 2019, has an area of approximately 85,000 sqm and is located in Komorniki, south of Poznań. It comprises class A warehouses suitable for both warehousing and light manufacturing. Its tenants also enjoy easy access to skilled labour in the nearby Poznań conurbation.
