New facility for Volkswagen Poznan is ready

A consortium of Eiffage companies in Poland has completed the construction of a logistics project for Volkswagen Poznan in Antoninek near Poznan.

The critical factors behind the successful project delivery within a very short timeframe were proper organization and coordination of the works performed by all Eiffage teams and the timely provision of building materials. To meet the investor’s deadline, most elements of the building’s structure such as columns, sill plates, girders, purlins and curtain walls were made from prefabricated materials. In addition, the investor’s quality requirements had to be rigorously adhered to. For instance, most walls were finished with exposed brickwork instead of plastering.

The facility in Antoninek is another large-scale project delivered by Polish companies of the Eiffage group in the industrial construction sector. Projects completed by the consortium in Poland over the last two years include a project for Unilever in Poznan and a new VW factory in Bialezyce near Wrzesnia. The Eiffage group is currently building a new Mercedes-Benz engine factory in Jawor near Legnica.
