Panattoni Europe will build another facility for DSV Solutions. From there, DSV Solutions will carry out logistics operations for the food company Mondelez International. The warehouse with an area of nearly 8,000 sqm is under construction in Skarbimierz, within the Walbrzych Special Economic Zone. The cornerstone ceremony took place today and the project is scheduled for completion in April 2020.
The facility will be built in Skarbimierz, the Walbrzych Special Economic Zone. DSV Solutions will use it to carry out logistics operations for Mondelez International, whose product portfolio includes such sweets as Milka, Alpen Gold, Prince Polo, Oreo as well as Halls gums and candies. The warehouse, delivered in the BTS formula on a 3.1-hectare site, will provide nearly 8,000 sqm. To meet the investor’s requirements, its clear height will be increased up to 12 metres, and the floor will be reinforced to allow a floor load of 8t/sqm. The facility will feature a total of 11 docks. The tenant will be able to commence operations as early as April 2020.
Mondelez Polska is a leading food company in Poland and has been present on the Polish market for 27 years. It has almost 4,600 employees and is Poland’s market leader in premium chocolates and biscuits. The company has two production plants in Skarbimierz: one making chocolates, and the other chewing gums and candies. By combining the two plants with the new warehouse in a single location, the company will be able to significantly streamline its logistics processes, from production through to stock management and product distribution. These benefits will be further enhanced by the location of the warehouse, just 10 km from the A4 motorway and 45 km from Wroclaw Airport, providing easy access not only to the Polish market but to all of Europe. Mondelez Polska is part of Mondelez International, Inc. Under the new name (formerly Kraft Foods), it has been in operation in Poland since 2013.
