Poland’s largest warehouse

Panattoni Europe is to build a 123,000 plus sqm warehouse for a French DIY retailer Leroy Merlin in Piatek, Central Poland. It will be Leroy Merlin’s core location and the largest distribution warehouse in Poland.

The project is expected to break ground in Q2 2018 and to be completed in Q4 2019. It will also include a 10,000 sqm roofed area for outdoor storage and parking facilities for up to 25 trucks and 150 passenger cars in immediate vicinity of the warehouse. The scheme will have 160 docks and six ground-level drive-in gates. The facility will also have LED lighting systems and is expected to be BREEAM-certified with a “Good” rating.

The new warehouse will be developed to support Leroy Merlin’s further expansion and consolidation of its distribution network. It will combine multiple distribution channels such as x-dock, stock and direct deliveries to customers. E-commerce operations will also be moved to the new location.

BTS Leroy Merlin will occupy a strategic location in Lodzkie voivodeship, 2.5 km from the Piatek junction on the A1 motorway and 30 km from the interchange of the A1 and A2 motorways.
