Prologis builds BTS schemes in Wroclaw

Prologis has launched construction work on two build-to-suit (BTS) projects totalling nearly 40,000 sqm at Prologis Park Wroclaw IV.

BTS projects comprise 20,300 sqm to be delivered for Jotul Polska, a new company of Norwegian-based Jøtul AS, one of the world’s oldest manufacturers of stoves and fireplaces. The building’s above-average depth of over 130 metres will help optimize the processes and layout of the production line for assembling, painting and enamelling fireplaces. Construction is scheduled to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2019.

As part of the second project, 18,300 sqm will be built for Yusen Logistics, a Japanese transport and logistics group offering complete end-to-end supply chain solutions. Their scope covers all modes of transportation, including international freight forwarding, warehousing, cargo management, and tailored supply chain solution development and management. The building has been specifically designed to accommodate the client’s processes, especially in terms of effective use of space for racking. Construction is scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of 2019.

Like all the other Prologis facilities, the new buildings will be equipped with solutions that support property management and technical maintenance services. These include a smart metering system which will allow clients to remotely access and monitor all utility meters in the buildings.

Prologis Park Wrocław IV is located in Katy Wroclawskie, by the A4 motorway, 35 km from downtown Wroclaw and 13 km from the Bielanski junction. Wroclaw’s ring road also runs past the distribution centre. Upon completion of the two projects, the park - currently consisting of three buildings totalling 50,000 sqm - will be fully built-out.
