SIG, an international distributor of building products, has renegotiated its lease for more than 1,300 sqm of warehouse and office space in Gdansk-Kowale Distribution Centre. The tenant was represented by real estate advisory firm Cresa Poland.
SIG, which has been present on the Polish market for more than 20 years, has specialist units to support multi-faceted operations: individual and institutional clients, services for small schemes (detached homes) and large-scale projects (shopping centres and airports). It is part of a UK-based international company founded 60 years ago and listed on the London Stock Exchange. SIG is present in 15 European countries and operates a network of approximately 800 trading branches, including 50 in Poland. Several years ago SIG launched a successful e-commerce platform available at www.sig.pl.
“We are pleased with the current location of our warehouse in Gdansk. That’s why we decided to continue our cooperation. Appropriate logistics conditions, unlimited deliveries and secure warehousing are all important to SIG. Our Clients had also got used to SIG’s headquarters, which was another key influencer on our decision. We are happy to have suitable warehouse and office facilities in Gdansk,” says Bartosz Pilch, Head of E-commerce and Marketing, SIG Sp. z o.o.
SIG’s headquarters in Gdansk-Kowale Distribution Centre comprises 1,100 sqm of warehouse space and more than 200 sqm of office space. The Distribution Centre, which is located by Gdansk’s ring-road, consists of six buildings with a total area of nearly 130,000 sqm.
“The tenant’s existing amenities such as a storage yard in front of the building and the landlord’s partnership-based approach were additional arguments in favour of SIG’s lease extension for years to come,” says Jakub Dudkiewicz, Advisor, Industrial and Warehouse Department, Cresa Poland.
