Toshiba Carrier Corporation will open its first European production and distribution plant in 2020, worth over PLN 100m. The investor’s decision was announced at the Polish-Japanese investment meeting in Tokyo on Tuesday, said PAIH.
PAIH has communicated that Toshiba Carrier Corporation will open its first European production and distribution plant in Gniezno in 2020, with the investment likely to surpass PLN 100m.
The investment will be carried within the Polish Investment Zone (PSI), added PAIH.
Toshiba Carrier Corporation produces air-conditioners for offices, stores, buildings and manufacturing facilities, as well as refrigeration systems, fans and compressors. The new plant in Gniezno, which will be located on the Kostrzynsko-Słubicka Special Economic Zone, will focus on distribution and production operations. PAIH said the facility will allow the investor to reduce production time by two-thirds, bring costs down, and strengthen the offer adapted to the specific needs of Europe.
During the first investment meeting in Tokyo, Toru Kubo, Toshiba Carrier Corporation CEO, stated that the investment in Poland was part of the company’s global growth strategy.
