The Pomeranian Special Economic Zone S.A. (a joint stock company) was established in 2001, and was the result of the transformation of the Special Economic Zone Zarnowiec-Tczew S.A. which had been set up previously in 1997. The investment area of the zone at present amounts to 2040 ha, covering twenty-four sub-zones with a total area of 1859.2419 ha, including 518.8643 ha in the Pomerania voivodship, 732.2391 ha in Kujawia-Pomerania, 586.2502 ha in West Pomerania and 21.89 ha in Wielkopolska.
